Canine Phantom for Ultrasound
The Canine Phantom was thoughtfully designed to meet the real-world needs of veterinary education and hands-on clinical training. It is a major step forward from the previous model, featuring ultrasoft abdominal tissue that provides highly realistic scanning feedback. Its anatomical design is based on a CT dataset of a male Bull Mastiff–Rhodesian Ridgeback cross, ensuring anatomical authenticity. With the help of cutting-edge AI, the model was refined using advanced algorithms that precisely extracted and replicated intricate anatomical structures with exceptional accuracy.
Engineered to meet the advancing demands of veterinary education, research, and clinical practice, the latest Canine Phantom sets a new benchmark in anatomical realism and training versatility. Developed in collaboration with leading veterinary institutions across Canada, the USA, the UK, and Australia, this upgraded model builds on the success of its predecessor with significant enhancements driven by global expert feedback.
Derived from a real CT dataset of a two-year-old male Bull Mastiff x Rhodesian Ridgeback weighing 37 kg, the phantom features both skeletal and soft tissue structures. For handling purposes, the model was scaled down to 16 kg. Cutting-edge AI algorithms were employed to extract and replicate anatomical details with remarkable precision, resulting in a model that delivers exceptional fidelity for both diagnostic and procedural training.
These upgrades reflect a major leap forward in both anatomical precision and educational value, ensuring the phantom meets expectations for realism and functionality.
Ideal for use in academic institutions and clinical training settings, this model supports a broad spectrum of applications, from ultrasound instruction to diagnostic imaging. With its robust design, responsive materials, and high anatomical accuracy, the Canine Phantom is an indispensable tool for preparing the next generation of veterinary professionals.
