Designed to replicate average female breast anatomy, this breast phantom supports mammography and multi-modality imaging, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. Its tissue-equivalent materials and lesion targets make it ideal for imaging system evaluation and research applications.
The Adult Breast (Simple) Phantom is an anatomically realistic model designed for use across multiple imaging modalities, including mammography, X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. Engineered to replicate average adult female breast anatomy, this phantom is an essential tool for medical imaging research, device testing, calibration, and clinical training.
Constructed with a balanced composition of 50% glandular tissue and 50% adipose (fat) tissue by volume, the phantom closely mimics the properties of real human breast tissue. This enables accurate performance evaluation, particularly in mammography and diagnostic radiology.
The embedded lesions have an attenuation coefficient similar to that of the glandular breast but with a higher electron density. This makes the lesions difficult to detect on an X-Ray yet easy to detect on Ultrasound. This can be customized to fit your requirements.
