The Adult Head (Static) Phantom is specifically designed for medical imaging of foreign static objects like bone fragments, shrapnel, and bullets. It mimics the average anatomy of a male head using soft and hard tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT scans. The phantom’s stable materials include a realistic three-layered skull structure with an inner diploe layer.

Category: X-Ray, CT, US, MRI Phantoms

The Adult Head Phantom (Static) is designed for medical imaging of foreign static objects such as small bone fragments, shrapnel, bullets, and other metal or non-metal targets. Modeled on an average human male head, the phantom is constructed from realistic soft and hard tissue-mimicking materials that are compatible with Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT applications. The materials used to build our phantoms mimic the biomechanical, acoustical, and physical properties of human tissue.

The materials used in this head phantom are engineered for long-term stability, ensuring they do not dry out or degrade over time. The skull bone is cast out of our realistic patented epoxy-based bone material and features a realistic three-layered structure, including an inner diploe layer, closely mimicking human anatomy.

In terms of MRI applications, the phantom tissues have realistic T2 relaxation time values, which makes this product to be the best fit for any T2-weighted MRI imaging methods. Very good results can also be achieved with Proton Density imaging methods. The phantom can be still imaged with T1-weighted methods, but the T1 values are less realistic, and they are within the range of about 100 ms.

If you have specific requirements for your applications, please contact us at [email protected], and we will help you find the best solution.

Note: The size and quantity of the static objects can be customized based on your requirements.
